Business Angels

Business angels are wealthy individuals who invest in high growth businesses in return for equity. Some invest on their own, others invest as part of a consortium. They will invest individually anything from £5,000 to £500,000 and will contribute to bigger investment deals.

Essentially, business angels invest based on their belief in the ability of the people involved to grow a profitable business. They will often make their skills and contacts available to the company, although many expect to monitor progress and may seek involvement in significant decisions.

The NWDA provides relevant businesses and individuals seeking finance with access to business angels via Northwest Business Angels, a network of private individuals in the region seeking to invest in Northwest businesses. Northwest Business Angels offers a dedicated service to businesses and investors alike.

For further information on joining the network from an investor perspective or as a company seeking angel investment visit the Northwest Business Angels site or email jules.edwards@nwda.co.uk
