Exploitation of Knowledge

A variety of Agency funded projects are ongoing to facilitate knowledge transfer,  and encourage business start-ups through the provision of incubation facilities. These include:

• Defence Diversification Agency: Utilising the UK’s defence sector science base.
• Shell STEP: Placing students into SME’s.
• Liverpool Science and Innovation Park: Developing a science park for Liverpool.
• Infolab 21: ICT incubation and knowledge transfer facilities at Lancaster.
• Core Technology Facility:  Biotechnology and Hi-Tech incubation facility at Manchester
• Incubation Northwest: A network linking incubators in the Northwest.
• Framework Northwest: Frameworks Northwest helps organisations access European funding for research and technology development.
