Excellence and Innovation in Construction
The push for excellence and innovation in construction is
rightly gaining momentum, driven by the Government's "Better Public
Buildings" and "Rethinking Construction" agenda.
Good practice in construction must be integral to the
regeneration of the region's urban areas. With the Commission for Architecture and the Built
Environment (CABE), and others, the NWDA is committed to
promoting the importance of good design and construction.
The construction industry is of strategic importance to
England's Northwest. A healthy construction industry is vital for
the physical regeneration of the region and the NWDA is working
hard to promote best practice and to create an environment that is
beneficial to the growth of the region's construction
companies.
To support this, the NWDA is supporting Construction for
Merseyside, to assist Merseyside's construction industry to
become more competitive, by investing in the skills it needs and to
maximise employment opportunities for local people.
