Regional Marketing Forum
The primary purpose of the RMF is to bring together like-minded
organisations that have an interest in and are willing to
contribute to promoting England’s Northwest through collaborative
marketing and communications activity.
Specifically the RMF will:-
- Contribute to and oversee the activities in the Regional
Economic Strategy (RES) that relate to the marketing of England’s
Northwest.
- Identify and deliver collaborative marketing and communications
programmes which promote the region as a business and tourism
destination.
- Support, through marketing and communications activity, the
other key RES priorities including Business, Skills &
Education, People & Jobs, Infrastructure and Quality of
Life.
- Provide guidance, support and advice to the Northwest
Development Agency on its regional marketing and communications
programme.
Membership of the RMF
The RMF should be representative of all the major organisations
in the Northwest with an agenda to support the economic development
of the region through marketing activity. These include:-
- Business
- Culture
- Media
- Government
- Academia
- Tourism
- Environment
Criteria for membership will include:-
- Significant regional/sub-regional remit
- Major influencer in the Northwest and/or UK
- Lead body for a grouping of regional organisations or
businesses
- Representative of major iniative (i.e. Capital of
Culture)
Membership of the RMF is by invitation of the NWDA.
