Climate Change: Impact on Climate Change Conference

This conference will mark the progress made against the Northwest Climate Change Action Plan – ‘Rising to the Challenge’ and will refocus the commitment of partners to achieving the Action Plan’s goal of a low carbon Northwest and how changes in legislation will affect them.

The event will combine perspectives from government and business and look at how adaptation is taking place through choice and legislation. Speakers will include Bryan Gray, Chairman - Northwest Regional Development Agency, Professor Michael Kelly, Chief Scientific Adviser - CLG and Paul Kelly, Corporate Affairs Director - Asda.

This will be followed by a choice of afternoon sessions:

  • Employee engagement and talent development for a low carbon future
  • Adapting to climate change
  • Changing behaviour at home and on the road
  • Business generation in a low carbon economy
