Making the Most of the Manchester 2002 Commonwealth Games

The Rheged Discovery Centre in Penrith is to host an event on Thursday 16th August, which will help businesses to understand the full range of the Games activities, targeted on business and the best ways to take advantage of the economic and commercial opportunities.

The event, which is sponsored by the Northwest Development Agency, explains how the Commercial elements of the Games will work, and the timetable of activities leading up to and beyond the Games themselves in July and August 2002.  Delegates will have the opportunity to meet the key contacts and to explore the best business options for their companies.

Manchester 2002 Ltd, will be giving presentations on the following topics:

  • Games Commercial Programme
  • Games Procurement Processes 
  • Sponsoring the Games 
  • Licensing
