England's Golf Coast Joins World's Best
The world 's biggest golf tour operators are being encouraged to bring their
travelling clients to England's Golf Coast (www.englandsgolfcoast.com)
After the eyes of the golfing world fell on Hoylake this summer during the
most successful Open Championship ever staged in England, partners promoting
England's Golf Coast are showcasing the region's unique appeal at a major
industry exhibition in Spain next week.
Group Captain Christopher Moore, Secretary of Royal Liverpool Golf Club and a
key member of the Hoylake team which contributed to the success of The 2006
Open, is joining the Golf Coast partners at the 9th Annual International Golf
Travel Market in Marbella. More than 200 exhibitors from more than 30 countries
will be represented.

Golf Development Manager for England's Golf Coast Charlie Grimley said: "With
three world-famous, Royal links and 17 other naturally challenging courses,
England's Northwest really is England's Golf Coast and the potential to attract

This latest phase of the England's Golf Coast campaign managed by The Mersey
Partnership and funded by NWDA. Aims to build on the existing £10m-a year
economic impact golf has on the region's economy.
England's Golf Coast has the highest concentration of championship links golf
courses in the world and boasts 3 of the top 20 and 7 of the top 36 courses in
UK & Ireland. The area also has three of its courses ranked in the
World's top 75.
