GBP3.5million business centre opens its doors
The new £3.5 million Evans Business Centre at Pioneer Business
Park, Ellesmere Port, was officially opened on Tuesday,
September 30 by local MP, Andrew Miller.
Part of the UK’s leading workspace network for small and growing
businesses, the 31,000 sq ft business centre - offering 23 offices
and 18 workshops with telephony and broadband - is proving highly
popular with the local business community. Offices range from
300 – 525 sq ft and workshops from 980 – 2025 sq ft. With three
offices and 12 workshops taken, the centre is expected to provide
jobs for around 200 people once fully
occupied.
Unveiling the plaque to mark the opening of the centre, Mr
Miller said: "I am absolutely delighted to have the opportunity to
open such a vibrant and flourishing business centre.
Encouraging entrepreneurship is vital to Ellesmere Port’s economy
and this centre will play an important part in providing the right
business space to support new and developing businesses. I
wish Evans Easyspace a very successful future."
Tom Stokes, Evans Easyspace managing director, said: “This
centre demonstrates the thriving business community here in
Ellesmere Port. Despite the widespread speculation about the effect
the global financial climate is having on UK businesses, our
experience at Evans Easyspace shows just how resilient the small
business community really is. In fact, we believe the current
economic climate is leading small businesses to opt for the kind of
flexible business space we offer here and throughout the UK."
The Evans Business Centre offers the unique Evans Easyspace
easy-in, easy-out terms with a rolling 2-month licence deal and no
legal costs. Located at Pioneer Business Park next to Junction 7 of
the M53, the Evans Business Centre is well situated for all
transport links. The project is part financed by the European
Regional Development Fund with match funding from the Northwest
Regional Development Agency (NWDA).
Peter White, Executive Director of Development at the NWDA, said:
“It’s encouraging to see that businesses are showing confidence in
the Evans Business Centre, which is no doubt part due to its modern
facilities and excellent transport links. The NWDA is
delighted to support a project which will help new businesses to
start and assist thriving businesses in expanding their operation.
This scheme will provide much-needed facilities for small
businesses and will help to create a more sustainable future for
the local community.”
