North West Regional Construction Awards 2009 - WINNERS

The North West Regional Construction Awards, organised by the Centre for Construction Innovation, celebrate the North West Construction Industry and showcase the best and most innovative construction projects and working practices in the region.

The third annual ceremony took place at Southport Theatre and Convention Centre and awards were recognised in fifteen categories.

The winners will go forward to a national final that will take place later this year.

Attended by over 500 guests and hosted by Journalist and Broadcaster Lucy Meacock, the foundations for a great evening were laid by some fantastic sponsors; The National Skills Academy, ConstructionSkills, BRE, Elevate East Lancashire, Morgan Ashurst, Cara Group incorporating Cara Construction and Cara Brickwork, The School of the Built Environment & BUHU, University of Salford, Willmott Dixon Construction and BEIN, with whom the evening would not have been possible.

The Centre for Construction Innovation's Chief Executive, Andrew Thomas said:

"These awards show that the recession has helped to make companies aspire to even higher standards than in previous years."

"I think enormous credit needs to go to all of the organisations who entered and I hope those who were disappointed this year take the opportunity to try again in 2010."

The Centre for Construction Innovation is supported by the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA).
