Cities Northwest
Cities do not live in isolation. In the
Northwest we are witnesses to the greatest partnership between
cities in history. Together, they created the world’s first
railway and connections that powered the industrial revolution.
Commissioned by the NWDA and produced by The Centre for
Sustainable Urban and Regional Futures (SURF), The Centre for Urban
Policy Studies (CUPS), The Institute for Political and Economic
Governance (IPEG) and Salford GIS, Rethinking the Northwest Spatial
Economy explores the ways our cities link to and complement each
other and how they contribute to regional growth.
