Councillor Marie Rimmer CBE

Cllr Marie Rimmer CBE, NWDA Board MemberCouncillor Marie Rimmer is an elected member of St Helens Council.  She is a governor of Cowley Language College and the manager of Red Bank Community Home.

She was the Chair of the former Association of Metropolitan Authorities Housing Committee and served on the European Committee of the Northwest's Social Affairs Committee.  She was also the Chair of the Northwest Coalfields Communities Campaign.

She has been politically active on behalf of the Labour party since 1969, and has held office at branch, constituency and district party level. She does not hold any other ministerial appointments.
