Panels
Every year the NWDA spends a significant amount on goods
and services supplied by third parties. These range from basic
products such as stationery, to highly technical equipment and
services. We buy much of our goods and services from companies that
have pre-qualified as being suitable to supply us.
To pre-qualify you must be able to meet our basic criteria:
- you must accept English law as the governing law of any
contract and accept the jurisdiction of the English courts
- you must accept NWDA conditions of contract
- you must have a company policy statement covering the health
and safety and environmental aspects of your operations. These
statements must meet current legislative requirements.
- your company must have no convictions for offences relating to
fraud, corruption, or other major breaches of the Companies
Act.
You may also have to meet additional criteria depending on the
particular goods or services that we need. These could include:
- details of your financial standing
- technical competence
- delivery record
- quality assurance procedures
- safety performance
- environmental performance
- capacity
We may also wish to inspect your facilities, examine samples of
your work and take up references from your customers. Any
information that you give us will be treated confidentially.
Opportunities to become members of these pre-qualified panels
are listed on our Tenders page as and
when a panel is being formed or renewed.
